New Republican Majority sets new rules for congress. "We will open with a full reading of the Constitution"

"All the Worlds A Stage" and the next congress of the United States of America being led by the new Republican Majority has taken their place at center stage.

New rules proposed by the incoming majority party this week include a call for a full reading on the United States Constitution on the floor of the house January 6th.

Rep. Greg Walden of Oregon speaking on the issue stated

"To begin to restore trust with the American people, Republicans have pledged to operate congress differently: with real transparency, greater accountability and a renewed focus on the Constitution,"

The Oregon Republican also offered this dramatic thespian line,

"The sweeping reforms offered in this package make clear we intend to keep that promise.

As a conservative, constitutional ideologist I applaud a reading of the constitution at the opening of congress, in fact it should be done everyday that the congress resides in chamber. Let's not pretend that one reading is going to amount to sweeping reforms. Unless that reading is followed by an immediate repeal of every act, law, executive order or resolution deemed unconstitutional will I recognize this as anything but empty words and politics as usual.
